Trinity Announces Inaugural Chief Compliance Officer
Diana Heeren to establish centralized approach to compliance across the University

Trinity University announces that Diana Heeren will now serve the University as its inaugural Chief Compliance Officer and senior associate vice president for Finance. Heeren has previously been the associate vice president for Finance for over seven years, and is well-equipped to step into this critical new role.

“Diana’s leadership will be instrumental in enhancing Trinity’s operational excellence,” says Vanessa B. Beasley, Ph.D., president of Trinity University. “Her expertise will foster open communication and ensure our continued commitment to high standards across all departments.”

As Trinity’s first Chief Compliance Officer, Heeren will create a centralized approach to implementing procedures and practices to help directors ensure the University’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Heeren will lead the Trinity Compliance Committee, work collaboratively across campus to minimize compliance risks, and generally support additional opportunities for education about compliance throughout the University.

Heeren will report to the Vice President for Finance and Administration and maintain a connection to the Audit Committee of the Board of Trustees and President Beasley. She will regularly report existing and emerging compliance matters to the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Trustees.

“I am honored to serve Trinity as the inaugural Chief Compliance Officer,” says Heeren. “I look forward to supporting President Beasley’s commitment to strong and unwavering ethical standards for the University.”
